Warranty

Daye, North America, Inc. warrants to the original purchaser that Snapper™ brand products purchased on  or after 3/1/2025 will be free from defects in material and workmanship for the time period noted in the  chart below. Equipment put to personal use or around a single household or residence is considered  “Residential Use.” Equipment put to any business use (agriculture, commercial, or industrial) or used at  multiple locations is considered “Commercial Use.” 

GENERAL PROVISIONS: The warranties described below are provided by Daye, North America, Inc.  (“Manufacturer”) to the original purchaser of a new Snapper™ outdoor product (“Equipment”). Under this  limited warranty, the Manufacturer will repair or replace, at its discretion, any covered part which is found  to be defective in material or workmanship during the applicable warranty term. Warranty service must  be performed by a service center authorized by the Manufacturer to service the type of Equipment  involved, which will use only new or remanufactured parts or components furnished by the Manufacturer.  Warranty service will be performed without charge to the purchaser for parts or labor. If the Equipment is  sold to someone else during the warranty term, the limited warranty is transferable to the new owner.  After registering, print or save a copy of the warranty number and other relevant information for your  records. The warranty number and other relevant information must be transferred to the new owner. 

TRANSPORTATION & SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The purchaser will be responsible for any transportation of the Equipment to and from the service  center’s place of business, for any premium charged for overtime labor requested by the purchaser of the  Equipment, and for any service and/or maintenance not directly related to any defect covered under the  warranties below. 

The serial warranty code is found on the data identification label, located on the product, and indicated  by the first two letters in the serial number. 1G 202411000001

WHAT IS WARRANTED: Wearable parts, including but not limited to, belts, blades, blade adapters, tires, brake arms, brake linings, bulbs, scraper blades, shear bolts and pins, skid shoes and starter cords are covered by warranty for thirty days after the date of purchase. Batteries are warranted for six months from the date of purchase. All other parts of the Equipment are warranted for the number of years specified above. Warranty statements required by law covering engine emission-related parts and components, which shall not be less than the engine warranty, are found in the Briggs & Stratton Operator’s Manual delivered with the Equipment.

WHAT IS NOT WARRANTED – THE MANUFACTURER IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING: (1) Any Equipment that has been altered or modified in ways not approved by the Manufacturer; (2) Depreciation or damage caused by normal wear, lack of reasonable and proper maintenance, failure to follow operating instructions, misuse, neglect, negligence, lack of proper protection during storage, or accident; (3) Normal maintenance parts and service; (4) If used for racing or any other competitive activity (5) Parts that are not genuine Snapper service parts are not covered by warranty and may void the warranty if the parts result in premature wear or damage to the product. (6) Use of gasoline blends exceeding 10% ethanol voids all warranties. (7) Any tampering with the hour meter voids all warranties.

ENGINES & TRANSMISSIONS: The chart below details additional, relevant warranty information. Other component warranty terms may vary from the specific terms of this warranty. If inconsistent, the terms of the component warranties shall apply to their respective components.

LIMITATION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES AND OTHER REMEDIES: The manufacturer shall not be liable for  any incidental or consequential damages of any kind resulting from the purchase, use or misuse of, or  inability to use the Equipment including incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages or loss of  profits, or for any claim brought against the purchaser by any other party. There are no express warranties  other than those set forth herein. Any warranty implied by state law shall be effective for any product only  for the duration of the warranty term. Note: some states or jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or  limitation of incidental or consequential damages or limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts,  so the above limitations or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights,  and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state or jurisdiction to jurisdiction. 

CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES: (1) A warranty claim exists only upon presentation of the online product  registration. Product registration must be completed within thirty days of the original purchase and can  be completed on the Snapper website or through the dealer. An unregistered product entitles Daye, North  America, Inc. right of refusal to honor the warranty of the unregistered product. (2) Ensure the  maintenance explained in the Operator’s Manual is routinely completed as outlined.
